No, I’m not actually at the Apple World Wide Developers Conference, but that won’t keep me from commenting on the Steve Jobs keynote address. First, I’m pretty impressed that Apple completed its transition to Intel processors so quickly. The PowerMac has now become a much faster Mac Pro, and while the Xserve name remains the […]
Managing and Minimizing Risk
I thought I’d follow up on the security presentation I mentioned a week ago when I was home sick. I have to say that by all accounts, our session, Managing and Minimizing Risk, was a great success. We had a packed room, so much so that we had a few people sitting out in the […]
This is supporting material for a presentation I gave on blogging packages and technologies. This presentation was given at the North Dakota Association of Technology Leaders Fall Face2Face conference in Minot, North Dakota on September 28th, 2004.
I was in the process of putting up these photos along with some extra descriptions/commentary, but I managed to hit the browser refresh keyboard combination in Safari (command-R) as I was nearing the end of the post. More Cruise Photos
Here are some more pictures from the trip: The swimming pool and waterfall at our Cape Canaveral hotel: Here is a view of the pool area from the other side of the waterfall: This is the pool deck on the top of our ship. The large round structure towards the back is the Viking Lounge, […]
Cruise Pictures – FINALLY!
I’ve finally had a chance to export some photos from iPhoto and upload them to this site. Here is what I have so far: The front of our hotel in Cape Canaveral: Approaching Coco Cay just after sunrise: A small market on Coco Cay: A street in Nassau’s downtown shopping district: An old school building […]
PHP | Cruise – So Far
So far, the conference has been going pretty well, and has been interesting. There is a very diverse group of people from all over the world, which probably represents the actual PHP community well.
Cape Canaveral – Part Deux
Today has been a pretty relaxing day. The clouds disappeared shortly after noon, leaving us with clear skies and warm temperatures.
I spent the better part of the morning trying to finalize more items related to next week’s conference. For about the last month, I’ve been meaning to arrange for a shuttle/taxi to take us from the Orlando airport to our hotel in Cape Canaveral. I assumed that a shuttle bus would be the least expensive […]
Getting Ready for the Big Trip
I’m starting to get things ready for my conference, which runs from March 1st to the 5th. Clark and I will be flying into Orlando on Saturday and will be staying in Port Canaveral until our ship takes off on Monday.
