No Place Like Home…

We’ve been in our new house for two weeks now, and it’s feeling more and more like home every day. While we still have some things to put away in the basement, the upstairs is looking very good. We’ve been fortunate enough to have my mom help us paint the basement family room and hallway. It all looks great, plus it’s extremely nice to have it all taken care of already.

Now that we have a big lawn, I’m learning all sorts of things about taking care of it. I’m not exactly sure what the previous owners did (or didn’t do), but almost half of our lawn seems to be covered in various types of weeds. It looks like crap, but with a little help from my dad and my father-in-law, I’m sure we’ll have it looking good again soon.

Kael is slowly adjusting to his new environment, but I think he’s enjoying the extra space already. We’ve actually got room for his Jumperoo, swing, and high chair. It’s really fun watching him grow and develop every day. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s crawling soon!
