Late last week we began what will be a one month plus final push before we officially open our doors for business. That date has already been pushed back several times because of various project delays, but I’m happy to say they’ve been blessings in disguise. We can use the extra couple of weeks to […]
Month: March 2006
Kael is now just over 4 1/2 months old, and he’s a very happy little baby. Thankfully, he’s been healthy and eating well. Tomorrow we’re going to be taking part in the monthly Bootcamp for New Dads again, making it our second appearance as “veterans”. It should be a lot of fun again!
My Current Reading
Unfortunately, leisure reading and business reading are each at a minimum right now. Lately, my effective second job has been the work I’ve been doing on a Ruby on Rails program. I’m enjoying being able to work in Ruby instead of PHP, but it’s just taking a lot longer to complete that I ever thought. […]
Let me save searches as RSS!
Here’s something I’ve been wondering about recently. When I go to an auto site or a realty site to search for a vehicle or a place to live, I usually know what I’m looking for within a range of options. For example, we’re going to be in the market for a mini van in the […]
We’re A Razr Family
Yesterday Casey joined me in the Motorola Razr fan club with the arrival of her special edition pink Razr. After having the same Kyocera phone for a couple of years, it’s a nice upgrade for her. On the plus side, it’s pink, so there shouldn’t be any confusion around the house about which one is […]
Too Much To Do
It seems that I’ve just got way too much stuff going on at work right now. Besides learning the industry and the business development things we’re working on, I’m also chest-deep in all sorts of technology that’s new to me. I’ve got my hands on everything from Voice Over IP, to OpenVMS, basic networking (subnets […]
I’m currently sitting in Fargo’s Hector Airport for my flight leaving in about an hour. It rained here today and is actually pretty foggy right now, but our flight is still scheduled to leave on time. Here’s hoping. I was going to take this opportunity to take and post a few photos with my Razr, […]
I’m In Bubble Wrap
The good people over at 800 CEO Read run a couple of cool side sites related to business. One is ChangeThis, a place where you can download free “manifestos” about all sorts of ideas. The other is called In Bubble Wrap, a contest site where you can register to win business books each weekday. I’ve […]
What can I say: Life has been very busy the last week and a half after starting my new job last Monday. With just two people, there are an unlimited number of things to work on each day while getting a new business ready. It’s been an amazing learning experience so far, and I can […]
