Casey and I had our first ultrasound today! It was a lot of fun, but I guess that’s pretty easy for me to say. I wasn’t the one who had to drink half a gallon of water and then hold it for an hour and a half (although Casey toyed with the idea of having me do along with her). The only bad part was a lot of waiting for our appointment with our doctor.
Anyway, it all went very well. Everything is developing according to schedule and the measurements put the baby at 19 weeks and 6 days – exactly what Casey had calculated. I managed to scan in the ultrasound printout they gave us, spliced it up, and have uploaded it to our Flickr account. The images are much clearer than I expected, although my previous knowledge was limited to NBC sitcoms.
Finally, you may have noticed a lack of any talk about the sex of the baby. That’s because we decided a long time ago that we were going to wait and be surprised on delivery day. So, take a look at the pictures and start speculating – you’ve got a 50-50 shot!
Clicking on any of the pictures above will take you to the copy stored on Flickr, where you can download it in almost any size you want. I’ll still going to write about our vacation too, but I need to finish my midterm before I can sit down and finish it!
